Artist: AM & Shawn Lee
Debut Single: Dark Into Light Single Release
Street Date: September 6
Label: ESL
AM & Shawn Lee, the new cyberspace collaboration from L.A.’s indie pop artist AM (www.facebook.com/am ) and London’s cinematic tune-smith Shawn Lee (www.facebook.com/shawnleemusic ) have signed a record deal with ESL Music (www.eslmusic.com ) based in Washington DC to release their debut album Celestial Electric. When Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation heard the tracks, he elbowed out a handful of labels to release Celestial Electric on his Eighteenth Street Lounge label. Says Garza, “I’ve been a fan of Shawn Lee’s music for quite some time and when I heard what he and AM had put together I thought it would be an exciting project for ESL. It’s fresh, and infectious, combining elements from many different genres.”

Damn, I love this song
“I’m His Girl” single release 31st October 2011
New Ting Tings tune “Hang it Up”
M.A.N.D.Y. continue to consistently impress with their wonderfully spooky Sweatbox Remix, treading the line precariously between haunting and moody and curiously euphoric. A teasing, plodding bassline creates a sensual feel, bumping under gentle shimmying hats and bugged-out vocal treatments. Watch out for the high-impact drop. Think Art Department, Alex Nagshineh and so forth. A stunning rework.
Recent Great Stuff signings Nice7 get busy on the final remix, and make the choice of which to play even trickier. The most pumping of the lot, this delectable version sees the Italian duo keep the old skool jack rolling throughout, with the energy levels high from start to finish. If you like your house music lively, vibrant and mischievous, this is guaranteed to tickle your proverbial fancy.
